Summary - A collection of notes that containing a character sheet, instructions, maps, and a very cool sword drawn in the upper righthand corner. Sasha generously provided the following summary:
"We did a playthrough of {Eye of the Beholder} after picking up this copy and used the names suggestions written down by the original owner for our party, and they ended up having little backstories along the way.
So there was Aunty Potty, the stern cleric and her butler Boris, who decided to go off adventuring with her nephew, Mervin. Along the way, Sereena tried to pick Aunt Potty's pocket, failed, and got such a telling off from her that she agreed to join them too. xD Made it all the sweeter."
Sasha's summary is insightful as it underscores how notes, maps, and guides left behind in video games may inform and be expanded on by future players. It also highlights how video game notes are not singularly authored documents and can be composed over time by multiple players, resulting in a metagame akin to telephone that is afforded by the physicality of a video game's box and materials that enable it to circulate from player to player.
