Welcome to the Memo...rial Museum!

Welcome to the "Memo...rial Museum," a website that preserves hand-written notes, codes, and other marginalia written on/around/packed in with old video games. Please feel free to browse these documents by clicking "Memo...rial Museum" in the nav bar. You can also learn a bit about me, check out my past work/current and upcoming projects, and browse cute photos my five wonderful cats (plus any other cats I meet on my adventures) using the links at the top of this page. Quick links to website updates are on the sidebar. If you're feeling generous and want to support the museum with acquiring materials or feeding the kitties, my Ko-fi is linked below. Thanks for visiting!

Recent Update

4/16/2026 - The official 1.0 launch of the Memo...rial Museum is now live! With this update, I've completely redone the site layout and navigation to be a bit more manageable especially as the collection continues to expand. Unfortunately, designing for mobile devices is still a mystery to me and my css hasn't been working great, so currently the site is a mess on phones. I plan to address this in a future update, but for now I recommend viewing the site from a desktop or laptop. In terms of content, entries now have expanded details and descriptions to provide some additional ways of documenting and thinking about these materials with callouts to things that I find interesting about them. Much of this speculation based on my experiences with making these kinds of documents as well as conversations I've been lucky to have with donors/others. I hope these details can help frame questions about how and why players made and left behind these notes. Finally, I've set up an inbox for anyone who may want to donate their notes to the museum at memoxmuseum [at] gmail dot com. New scans and photos have also been added to the museum.

That about does it for this update. Until next time!

Special Thanks

The "Memo...rial Museum" would not be possible without support from Stomping Grounds Game Center. They have generously supplied numerous photographs of these materials as they pass through the shop. Give them some love at Stomping Grounds Game Center. This website would not exist without the insight of my good friend Alec who has patiently listened to my crashouts about html and css and responded with kindness and clarity. A huge shoutout to Phillip Corrado for his generous financial support of this project, which has allowed me to source many of the notes scanned on this website. Finally, thanks to all of my incredible friends who have supported my silly little dreams, endured my weird tangents, and kept believing in these ideas even when I had given up on them. This site is dedicated to all of you.
